Bougie, a Volcan daughter
out of Unetoile |
Bougie was
purchased at the KBS Prestige sale in Brive 2009, she was bred by Earl
Lagautriere and is by Volcan out of a Nenuphar daughter. Bougie is a very
stylish, powerful heifer with natural muscling and great width and depth of
hindquarter; she shows very good breed characteristics and is correct
throughout. She produced a
heifer calf, Fervente, at the beginning of 2010. The calf is by Bouffy who was also a Junior
Champion at the National Show in 2008.
We then took the opportunity to take embyos before putting in calf to
Haltcliffe Vermount. Vermount is an
extreme muscled bull with extra width but still shows good breed character and
good legs and locomotion. I look forward
to her next calf! Bougie was flushed to Objat and Cloughhead
Umpire, I implanted 4 embryos and got three pregnancies due late May/early
June.
